The name Bandhavgarh is taken after one of the most famous hillock of the area of Umaria. The National Park, located in Madhya Pradesh has immaculate beauty, differentiated by its verdant richness on one side and untamed wilderness on the other. Strategically located on the majestic Vindhyan Mountain ranges in central India, the total coverage area of National Park falls approximately to 450 Sq. Kms. The Core Area is 105 Sq. Kms. The park has three major zones - Tala, Magdi and Bamera. Tala zone has record number of tourist footfall each year, as it provides high frequency of sightings of Royal Bengal Tiger. There are regular Elephant Shows organized at Magdi Zone of the National Park. Much to the bedazzling amazement of tourists, Bandhavgarh National Park is known to be the biggest breeding place for Leopards and several species of deer.
