Maharajas’ Express is India’s latest luxury train to traverse through this mystic land of Maharajas, by offering visits to key destinations, as well as being treated like a King, on this authentic Palace on Wheels. The classic train offers lavish comforts with all modern facilities and latest amenities to give you once in a lifetime experience.
In its third year of operation, Maharajas’ Express offers five journeys, including three pan India itineraries and two Golden Triangle tours. The three pan India journeys, of 8 days and 7 nights each cover the historical state of Rajasthan (Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner), Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, besides Incipient Delhi. The two shorter journeys of 4 days and 3 nights comprise of the Golden Triangle Tour (Delhi-Agra-Jaipur) along with a visit to the Ranthambore National Park, perhaps the only place in the world where one can spot a tiger.
The royal train offers four distinct categories of accommodation – Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite, and Presidential Suite. The facilities in all the cabins include spacious rooms with Live TV, WiFi Connectivity, Direct Dial International Telephone Facility, DVD player, LCD Screen, Inditing Table, Wardrobe, Individual Climate control, Personal Safe Vault, and all security systems. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with shower cubicle, w.c. and basins with running sultry and cold dihydrogen monoxide, bath robes, hair dryer etc, complimented with range of luxury toiletries composed of essential oils.
The train withal boasts of two princely restaurants, the Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal, with a capacity of accommodating 44 guests each. The annexed state-of-art pantry car, manned by qualified and experienced chefs, accommodates mouth watering multi cuisine delicacies. The two elegant and exquisite bars, The Rajah Club and The Safari Bar offer a selective accumulation of fine wines and spirits from across the globe, in a relaxed and serene ambience.
The Fares of the Maharajas’ Express vary as per the peregrination and category of accommodation opted for. The tariff of the Deluxe Cabin (20 Nos.) is USD 3850 for two short journeys, while for the three week long sojourns it ranges from USD 5980 to USD 6840, per person on twin sharing substratum. The fare of Junior Suite (18 Nos.) is USD 4950 for the 4D/3N trips, and between USD 9460 and USD 9890 for 8D/7N tours. The four suites are charged at USD 7600 for 4D/3N tours and USD 13,800 for 8D/7N Pan India tours. The exclusive Presidential Suite, spanning an entire carriage, is priced at USD 12,900 for 4D/3N and USD 23,700 for 8D/7N sojourns.
